Truviz and its subsidiaries (“we” or “us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. The purpose of this policy is to inform you of our practices regarding the collection, use and sharing of personal data that is provided to Powerviz through the use of our services, products or website.

This statement covers the Powerviz suite of Power BI Custom Visuals (“the Visuals”), including but not limited to all visuals offered at powerviz.ai/visuals and submitted to the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace under the publisher Truviz / Powerviz. Each Visual is a certified Power BI Custom Visual developed and maintained by Truviz, Inc. This policy applies specifically to the Visuals published on the Microsoft AppSource / Azure Marketplace, and covers how data is collected, used, and processed when you use our Visuals within Microsoft Power BI.

Powerviz Power BI Custom Visuals do not independently collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or report data. All data displayed within a Powerviz Visual is:

• Supplied entirely by the Power BI report author through the standard Power BI data binding interface
• Processed locally within the user’s browser or Power BI environment
• Never sent to Powerviz servers, third-party servers, or any external endpoint

The Visuals operate as client-side rendering components only. They do not make external network requests with user data.

Powerviz Power BI Visuals support two licensing models:

1. Direct Purchase (via Powerviz)
When you purchase a license directly from Powerviz at powerviz.ai, we deliver a custom-tailored, pre-activated version of the Visual built specifically for your organization.

• No license keys are entered by the end user
• The Visual does not make any network requests to Powerviz servers for validation
• No email address, user identity, or report data is transmitted during activation or use
• The activated Visual works entirely within your Power BI environment without any external communication

2. Microsoft AppSource Purchase
When you acquire a Powerviz Visual through the Microsoft AppSource or Azure Marketplace, licensing is managed entirely by your organization through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

• Powerviz does not collect, process, or have access to any licensing or user data in this flow
• All license assignment, management, and revocation is handled exclusively by Microsoft and your organization’s IT administrator
• No data is transmitted to Powerviz servers as part of this licensing process

In both models, the Visual itself does not transmit any report data, user data, or telemetry to Powerviz or any third party.

The Powerviz website (powerviz.ai) uses cookies and analytics tools (Google Analytics, GTM) to understand website usage. These are limited to the website and do not interact with the Power BI Visuals themselves.

More specifically, the following personal data is (or might be) provided directly by you (or on your behalf by the organization, firm or entity for whom you work):

• User ID
• First Name and Last Name
• Email address
• Information about your Profession like Industry, role, country of employment and job title
• Telephone number
• Company name
• Information about your professional status or role such as your profession, country of employment and job title

At Powerviz, We are committed to protecting the data you share with us. Company uses a combination of industry-standard security technologies, procedures, and organizational measures to help protect your data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Company supports online security using secure server technology because we want your data to be safe. We bind our employees and data processors to observe your privacy and confidentiality rights.

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right, under law, to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. We use the information collected for the following purposes.

License Validation: Powerviz provides you with online services and products. For this reason, Powerviz has to check that you have the right to use them. This is based on your decision to download a Free version or pay for a Pro/Premium license.

Support: Pro/Premium license gives you access to Powerviz support services. Powerviz has to be able to identify the source of your technical problem and improve support or online services.

Marketing purposes: Powerviz may contact you, in order to inform you about its products and services, promotions, product upgrades, special offers, and updates.

Please note that Powerviz does not collect data for commercial purposes that are not related to Powerviz products & services. Powerviz does not use your personal data for any reason that is not compatible with the purposes it was collected. Powerviz is a Business to Business software and it is not addressed to children! No personal data of children is intentionally collected! If we realize that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it with no delay.

Powerviz does not knowingly collect and process special categories of personal data. However, we cannot guarantee that personal data within a special category will not be generated by a user of our service and then stored on our database. This data is irrelevant to the services provided by Powerviz and incompatible with our processing purposes.

Any data and information that you volunteer or that is otherwise collected on one of our sites in any one country may be sent electronically to a server for one of these sites in another country. Such servers or other types of data processing facilities may be located within or outside the European Economic Area or third countries that are regarded by the EU Commission as featuring an adequate level of data protection. However, we safeguard your privacy interests around the world by ensuring that this website adheres to our data protection principles described in this statement. All affiliates of Company may use the information internationally about processing your inquiries and orders, in order to provide services to you, to help improve our products and services to keep you up to date about the latest product announcements, software updates, software upgrades, security patches, system enhancements, special offers, for processing and storage and for all other purposes set out in this document.
